Cross Country Members

Please note the following dates for pre-season, in addition to the regular practice schedule (refer to the Pre-Season Practice posted in the File Section).  You will see that the daily practices, while all in the morning, vary somewhat in terms of time/location.

Saturday, August 2nd- Pre-Season Meeting- Mandatory for ALL athletes and a parent.  11 am- CHS Cafeteria

Monday, August 4th- First practice (Mandatory for all athletes)- 5:53 am- Meet at CHS.

Tuesday, August 5th- Tryouts- 5:53 am- Meet at CHS.

Wednesday, August 6th- PR Running Shoe Night for Chantilly- 7:45 pm- Fairfax Towne Center

Friday, August 8th- ABSOLUTE LAST DAY TO JOIN TEAM (Online Spirit Pack Store Closes- 5 pm)

Friday, August 15- Scrimmage vs. Robinson & Lee- 9 am- Burke Lake (Meet at CHS at 7:13 am)

Monday, August 18th-Thursday, August 21st- Team Camp at Lost River, WV

Friday, August 29th- Final Time Trial @ Burke Lake

Monday, September 1st- Practice at Lees Corner Elementary

Tuesday, September 2nd- 1st Day of School- Practice at 2:50 pm

Saturday, September 6th- Monroe Parker Invitational @ Burke Lake- Meet at CHS- 5:33 am

Attention Athletes & Parents-

Please refer regularly to our team website:  www.chargercctrack.com for all information relating to cross country. I will post all lineups, results, performance lists, records, schedules, and team history information on our team site, and not necessarily on the school site, which is more limited in nature.

I also invite all athletes & parents to join our Facebook page:  Chantilly HS Cross Country/Track & Field, to stay informed for announcements during the week.

Attention all athletes interested in running cross country in the fall.  We will be having two interest meetings on Tuesday, June 3rd in the CHS cafeteria.

The first one will be at 2:30 pm, for all returning veterans or new CHS students. The second one will be at 7:00 pm, for rising 9th graders.

Both meetings will cover summer training, all paperwork, spirit pack ordering, schedules, and meeting the captains/coaches.

All paperwork is due by Friday, June 20th.

The summer training schedule commences on Monday, June 2nd, with summer conditioning sessions beginning on Monday, June 23rd.
