The Chargers came up just short of a tremendous come-from-behind victory while visiting the Oakton Cougars. 

After an abysmal first half and trailing 17-0 at the break, the Chargers rallied behind a strong second half offensive performance and a stellar defensive effort to lose a heartbreaker 17-15. 

After being rendered nearly ineffective in the first half, the Chargers ground game came alive in the second half as the offensive line teamed up with Torrian Pace and Kevin McGrath to give the Cougars nearly all that they could handle.  Senior Wide Receiver AJ Johnson first got the Chargers on the board with a tremendous leaping touchdown catch in the back of the end zone.  A failed point attempt put the Chargers in a hole and after Pace’s five yard touchdown run the Chargers were forced to attempt a two point conversion that failed. 

The Charger defense contained a very potent Oakton offense in a losing effort.  Senior linebacker Brian Abatemarco had a pivotal interception to help turn the tide of the second half in the favor of the Chargers.
