TRYOUT INFORMATION

In order to participate in tryouts, all players must have:

  1. VHSL Physical Exam Form

Turn this form into the Athletic training office. The room is located opposite the gym next to the weight room. ** DO NOT wait for the last possible day to get your physical. **

2.   FCPS Emergency Care Form

(Turn this completed form into the activities office and ask them to place it in the Girls Tennis box OR send it as a PDF file to Lnorden7@gmail.com.   Fall and winter athletes need to turn this form in to us as your previous coach needs to keep the one you gave them.

4.  Online Concussion Test

Additionally the on-line concussion test for both the athlete and a parent must be completed.   Please use the link:

   for the concussion tests. 

The forms are available on line www.chantillysports.org  (click files/links on the top of the web page) or in the Activities office.

**ALL FORMS AND TESTING NEED TO BE TURNED IN/COMPLETED BY TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2015.

1st day of tryouts is Monday, February 19, time TBD.

Tryout times, updates/changes due to weather – www.chantillysports.org.  Times will vary during the week of tryouts so you need to be flexible!

 Directions to navigate the website: once on the main page click on the appropriate team page (girl’s varsity tennis). From the team page click on news which is in the top header.   Coaches will also send out an email to you with tryout information.

 You must be on time to all tryouts.  Wear appropriate clothing and tennis shoes. (It will be chilly so dress in layers if needed).  Bring your tennis racquet and a water bottle.

Tryouts will consist of conditioning and challenge matches.

TEAM INFORMATION

Team will be selected on the following:

            Challenge matches

            Fitness level

            Attitude and work ethic

PRACTICE POLICY

Practices will be highly structured combining conditioning and tennis and match play drills. 

Normal practice times will be Monday – Friday beginning at 4:45 pm

Saturday practices may be scheduled as well

**Attendance is MANDATORY**

Meet at the tennis courts.  Be prepared to play matches.  Make sure ALL FORMS ARE TURNED IN.

You will not be able to participate in tryouts without all forms being turned in and up to date.
