Updates for the Week of November 7, 2022

Good Evening:

The boys have earned a right to play in week 11! We are very proud of the young men's resilience throughout the season. They have embodied the program's values throughout the year, focused on what they can control, and have embodied our core values of Competitive Excellence, the Power of Fraternity, and Relentless Effort.

Congratulations to our Head Freshmen Coach, Tyler Evans, on his wedding this past weekend! We wish you and  Mrs. Coach Evans the best!

Monday: as Coach Evans and Jones shared on Thursday, freshmen equipment collection will take place after school. All items must be returned.

Tuesday: No school; practice will be held at 8:30 am.

Friday- Varsity travels to Centreville.

As always, thank you for your support of Chantilly Football!

Developmental Game, Photo Buttons, and Chantilly Ties

Good Evening:

Reminder, developmental players will attend practice tomorrow afternoon. We will dismiss them from practice at 4:45, so they can have a chance to eat something before traveling to Robinson. Players who can't leave and come back should plan on bringing something small to eat between practice and the game.

The busses are expected at 6 pm. Players should be in the locker room ready to travel by 5:50.

Buttons and Team Ties

Thanks to our team mothers, we have headshot buttons available for purchase. There are also Chantilly neckties available for purchase ($20). The ties will be available during our team meal on Thursday night. Freshmen are also encouraged to purchase to show some Tilly pride! Thanks to Doherty Plumbing, all proceeds will benefit Chantilly football!

Updates for the Week of September 5, 2022

Good Morning!

We hope everyone is enjoying Labor Day weekend! Thank you to everyone who came out Thursday night to cheer on the squad! The young men overcame several challenging circumstances leading up to the game- a short week for prep- ended practice early Monday due to home field hockey games, indoor practice Tuesday, and even a fire alarm during the team meal/uniform distribution! Our practice jerseys say DMGB-"Doesn't matter; get better"- for a reason!

DMGB to the tune of 42-0!

Reminders:

Labor Day

  • Practice 8-11 am for all sophomores through seniors.
  • Freshmen off

Games

Freshmen and Developmental teams will host WL on Thursday night at CHS!

Fundraising

Fundraising is a necessary evil. Unfortunately, a small portion of the program has been carrying the load thus far. As we previously shared, each athlete's goal is to bring in $500 through fundraising efforts. We are not suggesting that families need to or should contribute that much themselves.

We have several options to contribute:

Donations

    • Our online donation site100% of the proceeds go to the program.
    • Cash or check donations made out to Chantilly HS memo football.
    • If you do not have friends and family who can contribute to the effort through this site, see below for a traditional "get out in the community and sell stuff" fundraiser we all know and love!

Coupon Card Sales

  • This is a traditional fundraiser. Robinson's football team, a comparable program, raised almost $30,000 using this fundraiser with the same company.
  • We keep 80% of the money raised.
  • This is an excellent option for those who do not have family or friends who can donate directly to the program via the donation site
  • 126 players have signed up for the fundraiser; 57 have sold 0 cards.
  • Of the 57, only nine have contributed to the donation fundraiser.
  • Nearly 40% of the athletes in our program have not contributed.
  • We want to avoid having a fundraiser blitz day. Please get out and sell...and let us not speak of fundraising again...until next year :)

As always, thank you for your support of Chantilly Football!

Updates for the Week of August 29, 2022

Good Afternoon!

THE DEVELOPMENTAL SCRIMMAGE IS CANCELED

Unfortunately, Falls Church called today and said they do not have the numbers to play a Developmental scrimmage tomorrow night. So the sophomores and juniors who would have traveled will stay the entire practice rather than get dismissed early.

Freshmen

Freshmen should report to the team locker room ASAP after school. The buses will aim to leave by 4 pm. You are encouraged to pack extra water and a healthy snack/meal. Don't forget your practice jersey.

Varsity/Developmental

  • We will follow our usual practice schedule Monday through Wednesday this week.
  • Get to Ms. Bishop early if you need treatment.
  • Our team moms are working to organize a team meal for Wednesday night. With a short week, our athletes must get out to practice ASAP.
  • Game Day will be Thursday due to the holiday.
  • We will share the dress list by Wednesday so players will know their status prior to Thursday
  • Please see our Dress Code for game-day attire.
