VARSITY FOOTBALL GAME RESCHEDULED TO THURSDAY

The Varsity game has been rescheduled to Thursday 01 October in anticipation of truly bad weather on Friday.

The Freshmen and JV games will be rescheduled at a later date.

Practice Mon, Tue, Wed (8/24-8/26) from 7:00-10:30, lifting afterward

Thu (8/27): Scrimmage vs. Washington-Lee (home) at 6pm. DRESSING players report to CHS for team meal at 3pm (*)

Fri (8/28): practice 9am-11:30

Sat (8/29): no practice

(*) If it is a combined scrimmage, then ALL players will dress (i.e. same as Langley scrimmage). Otherwise, only those players in Saturday’s varsity team picture will dress. The coaches will let the players know this week.

FRESHMEN:

Practice Monday-Friday from 8-10:30am

Varsity Football Season Opener Date Changed to September 4

The date for the Varsity Football season opener has been changed to September 4.

Your Football Chargers will take the field at WT Woodson @7:00 PM on Friday 4 September. Come on out and cheer on the team!

Two-a-day practices are Mon, Tue, Wed (8/17-8/19)

6:30-09:15 - first practice

9:15-11:30 - break & team meetings

11:30-1:00 - second practice

1:00-2:00 - team lifting

Thu (8/20): Scrimmage vs. Langley (away) at 6pm. ALL V/JV players report to CHS at 3pm

Fri (8/21): morning practice 9:00-12:00

FRESHMEN:

Daily practices run Monday thru Friday from 8:00-10:30am. Just so it’s clear:

******** This Week: Picture Day & Card Sale Fundraiser (8/22) ********

EVERYONE:

Saturday (8/22) is picture day. EVERYONE will get decked out in their game uniforms for team and individual pictures. Players should arrive by 7:30am for uniform handout. Varsity team picture at 8:10, JV at 8:20, Frosh at 8:30. Individual pictures will be taken after team pictures.

Following pictures, ALL players will receive coupon cards, wear their game jerseys and then hit the local neighborhoods for the coupon sale fundraiser. Parents of non-driving players should coordinate to drive groups of players to different neighborhoods for drop-off and pickup. Players will leave CHS with cards in hand around 10am and should return by 2pm.

The Varsity season opener against WT Woodson (away) has been changed to Friday 9/4 at 7pm. The JV season opener will be at home on Thursday 9/3 at 7pm. The CHS Sports Site has been updated to reflect theses changes.
