?This meeting starts in the auditorium with our Activities Director, Mr. Bowerman, for all parents of fall sports. Then we split into team areas. We will then be going over seasonal details, fundraising, expectations, and volunteer sign-ups. Please plan on attending. Thank you!

* Emergency Card Card – completed and signed

* Concussion Education Online – completed by both Parent and student-athlete

Please wear ASTM field hockey approved goggles, mouthguard, and shinguards. Bring both running shoes, cleats/turff shoes. For the first 4 days please wear a shirt with your first initial and last name taped on the back.

Tryouts will be a minimum of 3 days and maximum of 5 days. Depending on the volume and skill level of players we may have 1 or 2 rounds of cuts.

Tryouts dates and times:

August 1 - 7am - 8:30am and 5pm - 8pm 

August 2 - 7am - 8:30am and 5pm - 8pm 

August 3 - 7am - 8:30am and 5pm - 8pm (first round of cuts)

August 4 - 7am - 8:30am and 5pm - 8pm 9 (final cuts)

Fitness Testing/Conditioning will be in the morning and field hockey skill evaluation and game play will be during the evening timeslot.

Practices August 7-18th:    

Freshman Team: 4-6pm    

JV Team: 5-7pm

Varsity Team: 5-8pm

Practices August 21st and for the remainder of the season: will be 3:30 - 5:30. Varsity and JV may practice one to two days off campus on the turf at Greenbriar Park and/or Poplar Tree Park. The days of the week off campus will depend on the days that week that games fall on. We will always be on campus Thursday and Friday.

Equipment needed: shin guards, mouth guard, field hockey stick, ASTM approved for field hockey googles

No experience is needed to tryout for field hockey we have a lot of student-athletes that come out as freshman and have never played before. We host a camp in the summer to teach basic skills that a lot of incoming freshman sign up for so that they can get a jump start on learning new skills.
