Current plan is for Practice next week:

Monday: 3pm Impact testing for Freshman and 4pm for Juniors -  4-6 JV and Freshman (JV and Freshman GK’s stay till 7pm for GK training) and 5-8pm for Varsity (Chantilly Turf)

Tuesday: Freshman practice 4-6 - Scrimmage JV and Varsity @ Annandale (bus time TBA)

Wednesday: 4-6 JV and Freshman (JV and Freshman GK’s stay till 7pm for GK training) and 5-8pm for Varsity (Chantilly Turf)

Thursday: Freshman practice 4-6pm  /  JV and Varsity scrimmage at Robinson (bus TBA)

Friday: 4-6 JV and Freshman (JV and Freshman GK’s stay till 7pm for GK training) and 5-8pm for Varsity (Chantilly Turf)

Saturday: Picture Day: 8:50 - arrive at 8:30

Dear Field Hockey Players and Families:

Unfortunately, we have a change in tryout place and times for next week due to the track not being finished completely until Thursday, August, 2. Since we are now unable to be on the Chantilly turf until Thursday we have will have tryouts at Poplar tree Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I have listed the dates and times below and I apologize for the changes however it was out of my control.

New Tryout Schedule

Monday, July 30 : 7am – 8:30am ( Morning session -Players meet @CHS upstairs girls locker room – paperwork turn-in and tryout information session, possible campus run if time and space permits) Please make sure you have the proper paperwork completed and signed by parents and students ready to turn in if you have not already done so. Paperwork list is below, on the website, and google classroom) Afternoon Session: 2:30-5pm @ Poplar Tree

Tuesday, July 31: 7am-8:30am and 2:30-5pm @ Poplar Tree

Wednesday, August 1: 7am-8:30am and 2:30-5pm @ Poplar Tree

Thursday, August 2: 7am – 8:30am and 5-8pm @ CHS Turf

Friday, August 3: 7am – 8:30am and 5-8pm @ CHS Turf

Please take a moment and read carefully as it is that time of year again where we must start collecting forms and such for the upcoming season!

Forms that you need to have turned in order to participate in green days and to tryout this upcoming season.

• Concussion ED completed by Parent and Student https://www.fcps.edu/activities-enrichment/student-athletics/concussion-education

You cannot participate if you do not have the forms that are in bold listed above - no exceptions!

Other Forms:

• CHS Tryout Letter - due the first day of tryouts
• Extracurricular Participation Forms (will be required once you make the team and the form has been updated)
• CHS Rules Form (will be required after teams are made and rules have been thoroughly gone over)

Tryout Dates and Times:

Week 1: July 30 - Aug 3 (CHS Track and Turf)

- There will be two sessions: 7-8:30am (conditioning/skill work) and 5-8pm (skill work/field play)

- Teams will be formed within that first week and then practices will begin the following weeks with staggered times so that all teams can train on the turf efficiently.
