This is to inform you that we will be having our 2008 Cross Country Interest Meeting on Wednesday, at 2:30 pm in the cafeteria.  This will be VERY important for you to attend. We will be discussing the summer training, paperwork you will need to submit, our new team management website, www.eTraXC.com (we will not be using Blackboard this summer), and other issues pertaining to the summer and fall.

I would like to announce that we have named 1 boy and 1 girl captain, going into the summer:  Chris Foley and Rachel Grochowski.  I will be naming one more boy and one more girl in August.  I will be deciding this based upon a number of factors, which include leadership displayed over the summer, participation in most/all of the summer conditioning sessions, participation in using our blog/workout tracking (to be discussed on Wednesday), and ability to guide newcomers.  I wish to stress that this is not a popularity contest, rather, I am looking to add two people who I believe will be responsible throughout the season, and effective in uniting the team as a whole, and working as a link between me, the other captains, and the team.

I look forward to meeting with you on Wednesday. It is VERY important that you attend. It will last about an hour, so please be on time.
