The JV Chargers traveled to Westfield Wednesday night for their final game of the season, and came home with a 5-2 win and a district title.  Chantilly’s ace Bill Boyle got the start, and responded with his 4^th complete game victory, striking out 8 along the way.

Good defense and pitching by both teams left the score tied at 2-2 after 6.  Chantilly finally broke through in the 7^th with consecutive RBI doubles off the wall by catcher Matt Dewitt and Boyle, and an RBI single up the middle from Sam Zimmerman to close out the scoring.  For the Charger offense, Dewitt led with 3 hits and an RBI, Zimmerman had 2 hits, 2 RBIs and a steal, Adam Fridy doubled and singled, and Boyle drove in a run with a double.  Jamie Danehower and Ben Langford also contributed singles for Chantilly, along with stolen bases from Beau Rauch and Connor Major, and a sacrifice RBI by right fielder Christian Temple.

Chantilly finished their season with a record of 12-2.  Many thanks to the Charger fans for their support all season long.
