Chantilly came from behind twice to defeat Centreville 12-7 in front of a big home crowd on Friday night. Starting pitcher Lou Paladeau went the first 3, with 4 strong innings of relief by winning pitcher CJ Irwin. The Chargers pounded out 15 hits, highlighted by a 6 run explosion in the 6th inning. Bill Boyle, Jamie Danehower, and Sam Zimmerman led the offense, each collecting 3 hits, with Boyle and Zimmerman driving in 2 each. Mike Miller singled twice and drove in 2. CJ Irwin ripped an RBI triple, and Ben Langford had an RBI double. Paladeau and Adam Fridy also contributed singles to round out the Charger attack. Catcher Tyler Wykoff contributed the defensive highlight of the night, gunning down a Wildcat steal attempt to shut down a rally in the 6th.
Chantilly, now 7-2 on the year, travels to Herndon on Tuesday for their next contest.
