JV Baseball - Herndon 9, Chantilly 5

Herndon handed the JV Chargers their first loss of the season last night at Chantilly, dropping them to 3-1 on the year. Chantilly carried a 5-3 lead into the 6th inning, but the Hornet bats came alive late to grab the comeback win and move to 3-0.

Freshman Ben Langford got the start and pitched well, scattering 4 hits over his 4 innings, Sam Zimmerman pitched a strong 5th, with Matt Dewitt and AJ Worley closing things out. Offensive highlights for the chargers included doubles by Worley, Bill Boyle, and Christian Temple. Adam Fridy, Jamie Danehower, Langford, and Zimmerman also contributed base hits to the Charger attack.

The Chargers travel to Fairfax this Friday April 4th at 6:30 for another Concorde District matchup.
