The Chantilly JV Chargers brought the lumber along for the trip to Alexandria last night, defeating the Edison Eagles 15-1 in 5 innings. Adam Fridy led the offense with a walk, 2 doubles and 4 RBIs. Matt Dewitt, CJ Irwin, Wes Kerbuski, Connor Major, Collin Ryan, Christian Temple, AJ Worley and Sam Zimmerman also contributed hits for Chantilly.
The Charger pitchers were sharp, allowing only 2 hits. Winning pitcher Lou Paladeau got the start, with strong relief efforts from Will Bashaw and Dan Lawler. Lawler, Tyler Wykoff and Brian Morrow turned a beautiful pitcher-to-home-fo-first double play to end the game.
The 2-0 Chargers travel to Centreville Friday night for their first Concorde District matchup.
