Chantilly opened up district play with an 11-2 win on a cold and windy night at Centreville. Starter and winning pitcher Bill Boyle was dominant, carrying a no hitter through 3 innings before turning things over to Adam Fridy and closer AJ Worley, who both turned in strong relief efforts to finish the game.
Fridy provided the offensive highlight of the night, blasting a 2-run line drive home run over the 295 sign in right. Boyle, Brian Morrow, Ben Langford, Jamie Danehower, Matt Dewitt, Wes Kerbuski, CJ Irwin, and Sam Zimmerman also provided hits, including doubles by Morrow and Dewitt.
The 3-0 Chargers come back home to face district foe Herndon on Tuesday at 6:30.
