The Charger Varstiy Wrestlers defeated the Woodson Cavaliers in a charity match on Wednesday night. The wrestling team showed the poise and grit associated with a team that competed at the highest level at the Virignia Duals. The team captured a win by a 44-27 margin.

The Chargers were led once again by Senior Captains Lloyd Tenaglia (125 lbs) who recorded a 22-5 technical fall, and Daniel Hudson (135 lbs) who pinned his opponet in the second period. Junior Jack Carlson (145 lbs) continued his stellar season with a first period pin. Senior Stephen Cobb (215 lbs), who is coming off a major knee surgery, also pinned his opponent in the second period. Sophomore Wes Litton also added a pin at 119 lbs, and Daniel Jeong (135 lbs) rounded out the wins for the Chargers.

Next up for the Chargers will be a quad-meet at Chantilly versus district foe Fairfax, Lake Braddock, and Osbourne Park on Saturday, January 17th.
