CENTREVILLE HIGH: 24
The Varsity Charger Wrestlers competed against their cross-town rivals the Centreville Wildcats and were able to secure a 51-24 victory, bringing their Concorde District record to 1-1and their overall record to 2-1. Senior Seamus Haggarty (152 lbs) started off the match for the Chargers with a convincing 20-5 technical fall. After several forfeits by the Wildcats, the Chargers picked up a win from Freshman Joe Rainey (103 lbs), who won in a dominating fashion with a second period pin. Senior Captain Lloyd Tenaglia (125 lbs) continued to cement his place as one of the preeminent wrestlers in the Northern Region by wrestling up a weight class to 130 lbs, and still beating his opponent 10-6.
Next up for the Chargers is the Virginia Duals in Hampton VA. They are scheduled to wrestle Eastern Regional, the 12th ranked team in the country.
