AAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS: 0
The Charger grapplers completed their season this weekend at the Virgina AAA State Championships. Junior Heavyweight Chris Cabe overcame a first round defeat, and earned a seventh-place finish, defeating the central region champion in the medal match. As a returning state place-winner, Cabe expects to have a strong senior season next year. Also, Senior 135-pounder Ian Martiny wrestled with a tremendous amount of pride, and finished in the top 10 in the state. He finishes his career with the Chargers as an accomplished wrestler, an established leader, and an outstanding young man.
Next up for the wrestlers will be Freestyle and Greco-roman wrestling for the Concorde Mat Club this spring.
