Martiny and Cabe in Finals, Tenaglia All- Region

NORTHERN REGION CHAMPIONSHIPS @ FAIRFAX: 0

After three tough days of wrestling at the Northern Region tournament, Chantilly ended up with three All-Region place winners. Ian Martiny wrestled very well in a tough weight class, avenging an earlier loss to Oakton's Ethan Doyle to get him in the Region finals. There he dropped a 10-2 decison to the #1 State ranked wrestler in the weight class. Chris Cabe kept up his winning ways with two pins and an exciting overtime victory in the semis to meet another of Virginia's top ranked wrestlers in the finals. He lost a close 4-2 match. Lloyd Tenaglia place 5th, pinning his last opponent in the second period.
The team finished 10th overall, while 5 of the Concorde District teams also placed in the top ten, once again proving how tough our district is!
