Chantilly senior left-handed pitcher Patrick Somers has been named by DigitalSports.com as the Velocity Athlete of the Week. Somers struck out 10 batters last Wednesday in a key, 4-1 victory over rival Westfield. The victory moved the Chargers (10-4 overall, 6-1 Concorde District) into a tie for first place in District play. See the interview here:
