Northern Region Championship Results – February 2, 2008

Charger Swim & Dive

Oak Marr Recreation Center - The Chargers swam fast and were very competitive.  Overall the boys finished in 5^th place and the girls were 9^th.  Matt Benecki broke Olympic Gold Medalist Tom Dolan’s 1993 Regional record in the 500 free with a winning time of 4:30.43.  The boys 400 free relay with Greg Borowski, Stephen Fay, Matt Benecki and Mitch Phillips broke their own team record set last week at Districts with the new time of 3:15.73.  In the 100 fly, Elizabeth Hall broke her own team record set last week at Districts with a new time of 57.49.  The girls 200 medley relay with Sarah Setter, Becca Yost, Elizabeth Hall and Megan Silsby broke last year’s team record with a time of 1:52.38.
