Playing against our rival Oakton HS, the Chantilly JV girls team knew this would be a hard game for them.  We came out strong and dominated most of the first half.  By the end of the first half, however, Chantilly was down 1-0.

In the 2nd half within five minutes of the start of the half, Chantilly had a goal scored by Jonesha Fullerton.  She had a breakaway and placed the ball right where she needed to in the back of the net.  Later in the half, Oakton scored another goal off a corner kick to go up 2-1.  We kept fighting back and you could tell we didn't want to lose this game.  With five minutes left in the game, we got the ball to our outside mid, Justine Clougherty, who played a great ball down the line to Allie Harwick.  She dribbled the ball down the sideline and crossed it to where Lauren Chung was standing in front of the goal and knocked the ball in.  It was a great combination of passing, dribbling, and shooting to score the final goal of the game.  The game ended in a 2-2 tie.

The defense for Chantilly did really well and stayed strong the whole game.  The players who played back there were Kelly Updike, Ciana Deveau, Emily Owen, and Katie Daugherty.
