The Chantilly Varsity Chargers lost to the Langley Saxons in their first game of their Wedensday double header, 9-7. Despite the loss Charger offense produced 10 hits. Starting pitcher Jordan Johnson pitched the entire game, with 3 strikeouts, 1 walk, 8 hits, and 5 earned runs.
The Chargers took the lead in the top of the first inning after Danny Bates singled and Brian King hit a 2 run home run (left center). Chantilly did not score again until the 7th inning, when 10 batters hit 4 singles and 1 double to drive in 5 runs.
Leading the Charger offense was Brian King (HR, 1B, 2 RBI). Also contributing were Danny Bates (2B, 2 1B, RBI), Kevin McGrath (2B, 1B, 2 RBI), Jamie Danehower (1B, RBI), Nick Kralles (1B), Tim Bollinger (1B), Adam Fridy (RBI), and Joe Danehower (BB).
