The Varsity Chantilly Chargers defeated the McLean Highlanders Tuesday, 10-5. The Chargers had another 9 hit game, which included 3 home runs. Starting pitcher John Colella (6 strikeouts, 3 walks, 6 hits, 3 earned runs) went 6 innings for the win.
The Chargers scored twice in the 2nd inning after a walk by Nick Kralles and a home run by Kevin McGrath, over the left field fence. Seven scored, on 3 walks, 3 singles, a solo home run by Matt Dewitt (right center), and a 3 run blast by Brian King (right center).
In the bottom of the 2nd inning the Highlanders got on the scoreboard with a leadoff double, a Chantilly fielding error, and a ground ball.
