Chantilly lost 6-3 to Oakton on Tuesday. Oakton came out swinging the bat very well, totaling 9 hits and cruising to a 6-0 lead after 6 innings. Oakton’s pitching kept Chantilly off balance most of the night, including retiring the first 14 batters of the game. The Chargers did rally late in the game to score 3 runs, but the deficit was too deep to overcome and Oakton walked away with a quality win.

Chantilly’s offense was led by Eason Recto (double, single, RBI) and Jake Acosta (single, RBI). Also contributing were Turner Budd (walk, run), Sonny Romine (run), and Kyle Rhodes (run). Caleb Reinhardt started the game for Chantilly and pitched 4 1/3 innings. Chris Fraser did not allow a hit or run in 1 2/3 innings of relief pitching.

Chantilly (11-5) next plays at home vs. Herndon on Friday at 6:30.
