Chantilly lost to Forest Park on Tuesday night 4-1. The Bruins came out swinging the bat well hitting a home run in the 1st and getting 6 hits in the first 3 innings.

Chantilly's offense was led by Sam Hellman with 2 singles and Daniel Speed with a single. Chantilly loaded the bases in the 4th with 0 outs, and then Eason Recto drove in a run with a long sacrifice fly. The Charger rally ended on the next pitch, however, when Forest Park's SS, positioned almost directly behind 2nd base, turned a hard hit ball up the middle by Tommy Vance into a routine double-play.

Chris Fraser started the game for Chantilly and battled out of a couple of jams, allowing 1 earned run in each of the first 3 innings. Tom Wood took over in the 4th inning and did not allow a hit or run in 2 2/3 innings of outstanding relief pitching. Chantilly's pitchers kept the game within reach, but with just 3 hits the offense could not get the job done against a solid pitching effort from Forest Park.

The 2-1 Chargers will host Stonewall Jackson on Thursday night at 6pm.
