(Chantilly, VA) - Chantilly's varsity baseball team defeated the Fairfax
Rebels Wednesday night, 6-0. Starting pitcher Chris Yates went 7
innings, allowing 2 hits, 1 walk, and striking out 7. The victory puts
the Chargers' record at 7-3 for the season and 3-0 in the Concorde
District.

Chantilly scored early in the 1st inning, following singles by Chris
Yates and catcher Keith Morrisroe and a sac fly by third baseman Max
Langford. They put the game away in the 2nd inning, scoring 4 runs on 6
hits. The final Chantilly run came in the 4th after center fielder Chris
Gentile was hit by a pitch, stole second, and scored on a hit by Keith
Morrisroe.

The Chargers' 10-hit offense was led by left fielder Patrick Moore, who
was 2 for 2, Keith Morrisroe, 2-3 with an RBI, Chris Yates, who went 2-4
with a double and an RBI, and Max Langford, 1 for 2 with 2 RBI's. Chris
Gentile and second baseman Roger Strittmatter each notched a hit and an
RBI. First baseman Brian King also added a hit.

The Chargers play away against the Robinson Rams Friday night at 6:30 PM
in another Concorde District match-up.
