The Chantilly Chargers defeated the Herndon Hornets at home Tuesday night, 6-2. The score remained close until the 6th inning, when Chantilly bats produced 5 runs.
The Chargers scored first in the 3rd inning after loading the bases on back-to-back singles from Jamie Danehower and Collin Ryan, and a walk from Ben Langford. A balk by the Herndon pitcher allowed Danehower to score. In the 6th inning the Chantilly batting order batted around, producing 5 runs on 3 hits, a walk, and 2 fielding errors.
Chantilly offense was led Jamie Danehower (triple, single, RBI), Sam Hellman (double, single, 2 RBI), and Collin Ryan (2 singles, RBI). Also contributing were Ben Langford (single, walk), Kevin Johnston (walk), and Connor Major (walk).
