Strong pitching and good defense made the difference Saturday afternoon, as the Chantilly Chargers defeated the Battlefield Bobcats, 2-0 at home. Starting pitcher Caleb Reinhardt pitched a complete game 1-hitter, allowing no Bobcat runner past second base. Chantilly defense made two double plays and had no errors.

All of Chantilly's scoring occurred in the 3rd inning. A single by Jamie Danehower, followed by a passed ball and wild pitch advanced him to third. After Collin Ryan drew a walk, Ben Langford singled to left center, scoring Danehower. A single by Brian Morrow brought Ryan home.

Kevin Johnston (double, single) led Chantilly's offense. Also contributing were Brian Morrow (2 singles, RBI), Ben Langford (single, walk, stolen base, RBI), Jamie Danehower (single, sac bunt), and Collin Ryan (walk).

Caleb Reinhardt (7 IP, 1 hit, 3 walks, 4 K's, 0 ER, 73 pitches) earned the win.
