Chantilly scored both of its runs in the first inning. Leadoff batter Connor Major hit the first pitch to center field and ended up on second. A wild pitch advanced him to third, and he scored on a single by shortstop Jaime Danehower. Later in the inning Matt DeWitt hit a double down the third base line. Tyler Wykoff, running for DeWitt, scored on a shot to right field by Ben Langford which dropped out of the fielder's glove.
Also contributing to Chantilly's offense were Connor Major, Matt DeWitt, Ben Langford, Wes Kerbuski, and Sam Zimmerman, who all hit singles.
