Playing a game which lasted only 79 minutes, the shortest of the season, Chantilly lost to Westfield Wednesday night, 3-0.
Junior Dan Lawler pitched the complete game. He struck out 4 and walked none, while allowing 5 hits and 3 runs.
Chantilly's offense consisted of 2 hits, a double by freshman Sonny Romine which hit the left center field fence, and a single by Wes Kerbuski. Chantilly's defense had no fielding errors. Catcher Matt DeWitt, with the help of shortstop Jaime Danehower and third baseman Ben Langford, picked a Westfield runner off second base.
Chantilly celebrates its Senior Night on Friday when it plays Herndon at home at 6:30 PM.
