In a game in which the Chargers actually out-hit their opponent 9 to 7, the Chargers lost to the Oakton Cougars 7-3 Thursday night in their final game of the spring break tournament. Three Charger fielding errors made the difference.
Connor Major led the Charger offense, with 3 hits. Also contributing were Brian Morrow (1B, 1B), Adam Fridy (2 RBI double), Matt DeWitt (1B), Wes Kerbuski (1B), Sam Zimmerman (2 sac bunts), and Ben Langford (BB).
Starting pitcher Caleb Reinhardt (5 IP, 2K, 3 BB, 4H, 2 ER) took the loss. Brett Riddle (2/3 IP, 3H, 0 ER) and CJ Irwin (1/3 IP, 1K, 0 ER) pitched in relief.
The Chargers play at home next Wednesday night against the Stone Bridge Bulldogs at 6:30 PM.
