The play of the game Friday night occurred in the bottom of the 4th inning with the score tied at 2-2. Adam Fridy, who was on 1st, took off for 2nd on a 3-2 pitch to Mike Miller. The catcher's throw to 2nd arrived in time, and the field umpire called Fridy out - just as the home plate umpire called ball 4. Fridy, who was walking to the dugout, realized a fraction of a second before the shortstop did that he was actually safe. A chase ensued in which Fridy ended up at 3rd and Miller at 2nd. Both eventually scored, on a single by Connor Major and a fielder's choice by Wes Kerbuski. The Charger bullpen shut down Edison for the rest of the game, and Chantilly added four more insurance runs in the 5th. Final score was Chantilly 8, Edison 2.
