Starting Westfield Bulldog pitcher Danny Thorpe shut out the Varsity Chantilly Chargers Friday night, 3-0. In 7 innings Thorpe allowed 2 hits. Chantilly
starting pitcher John Colella, who also pitched the entire game, took the loss.
Contributing to Chantilly offense were Brian King (1B) and Kevin McGrath (1B, SB). Catcher Matt Dewitt threw out a runner trying to steal second and picked a
runner off first.
John Colella allowed 5 hits, no walks, and 3 earned runs. He struck out 2.
Chantilly plays three games next week, starting with a game on Monday against Centreville at 6:30 at home.
