Famine to Feast as the Freshmen played their second game of the week, defeating the Herndon Hornets on a bright Saturday afternoon. The Chantilly Offense got rolling early, as Jimmy Hicks scored in the first minute of the game and again before the end of the first quarter. Nico Alcalde had  rushing and passing TDs (To the other half of Team Brico- Brady Caslavka) and Josh Soroko  added one more score. The Offensive Line was once again dominant, with the starters getting help from Roshan Daniels, Zbe Nwoso, and Chris Carr. Every running back got a carry in Coach Jondahl's ball control offense.

Defensively, Drew Cormode led the way, with his linemates Sam Bates, Corey Donovan, Matt Louis, Carter Dietze, "Mankind" Shircliff, and Kenny Ly. LB Ben Cobb was a human missile, making several key stops. Jimmy Hicks and Cole Fitzgerald had INTs, adding to Chantilly's takeaway totals. 59 0f 64 eligible players saw action.

The Young Gridders take on the Fairfax Rebels at Fairfax Oct 16 to open the Homecoming Week festivities.
