Carol "Charlie" Buxton
Ms.
Girls Golf
Coach Buxton teaches students of all ages and skill levels for Every Body Golf School’s classes, camps and private lessons, and especially enjoys teaching game management. As an LPGA (Teaching and Club Professional) Class A member, she is certified as an LPGA Class A Coach. She has studied coaching with Arizona State's Coach Linda Vollstedt, ASU's Sports Psychologist, Dr. Debbie Crews-Ketterling, and LPGA's Pia Nilsson and Lynn Marriott. As an Amateur, she was the Women’s Club Champion of the Twin Lakes Women’s Golf Assn. 2004-2006, and competed in VSGA women’s tournaments. She also is a Rules official for tournaments run by the VSGA, NCAA, and USGA Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship.
Charlie has been married for 30 years and has 2 sons serving in the US Marine Corps. She holds an M.A. degree in East Asian Languages and Cultures (Chinese). Before becoming a golf professional, she facilitated business with China for 4 years, speaking fluent Chinese, worked in information systems development and project/account management for 14 years, and runs a sports nutrition business.
